The NFL Released its Schedule Seahawks 2010

The NFL released its 2010 schedule on Tuesday and the Seattle Seahawks host NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers in their regular-season opener on Sept. 12 at Qwest Field.

The Seahawks got shut out of national television broadcasts with no Sunday or Monday night appearances for a second straight year, the first time Seattle has gone back-to-back with no prime time since the 1982-83 seasons.

The schedule includes four road outings among the first six games, but ends the opposite way with four of the final six at Qwest. Among the road treks is a Nov. 21 date at the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

The cumulative 2009 record of the Seahawks' opponents is 116-140, which is the third-easiest mark among the league's 32 teams.

Only NFC West rivals St. Louis and Arizona have easier opponents schedules, which speaks to the fact the division plays not only each other twice -- with Seattle 5-11 and St. Louis at 1-15 -- but also is aligned against an AFC West that also had just one team with a winning record and includes 5-11 Oakland and 4-12 Kansas City.

On the flip side, Seattle will have to travel 23,122 miles on its road games, which is the third-most in the league behind only San Francisco and Denver.

Momentum ini harus dijaga terus dan ditingkatkan sebagai kebanggaan atas kemampuan teknologi sendiri. Meski sudah berlangsung 2 pekan yang lalu, peluncuran roket RX-420 Lapan ternyata masih jadi buah bibir. Anehnya bukan jadi buah bibir di Indonesia yang lebih senang ceritera Pilpres, tetapi di Australia, Singapura dan tentu saja di negara tetangga yang suka siksa TKI dan muter-muterin Ambalat yakni Malaysia.

Seperti diketahui roket RX-420 ini menggunakan propelan yang dapat memberikan daya dorong lebih besar sehingga mencapai 4 kali kecepatan suara. Hal itu membuat daya jelajahnya mencapai 100 km. Bahkan bisa mencapai 190 km bila struktur roket bisa dibuat lebih ringan. Yang punya nilai tambah tinggi ini adalah 100% hasil karya anak bangsa, para insinyur Indonesia. Begitu pula semua komponen roket-roket balistik dan kendali dikembangkan sendiri di dalam negeri, termasuk software. Hanya komponen subsistem mikroprosesor yang masih diimpor. Anggaran yang dikeluarkan untuk peluncurannya pun “cuma” Rp 1 milyar. Kalah jauh dengan yang dikorupsi para anggota DPR untuk traveller checks pemenangan Miranda Gultom sebagai Deputi Senior Gubernur BI yang lebih dari Rp. 50 milyar. Apalagi kalau dibandingkan dengan korupsi BLBI yang lebih dari Rp. 700 trilyun.

Mengapa malah menjadi buah bibir di Australia, Singapura dan Malaysia? Karena keberhasilan peluncuran roket Indonesia ini ke depan akan membawa Indonesia mampu mendorong dan mengantarkan satelit Indonesia bernama Nano Satellite sejauh 3.600 km ke angkasa. Satelit Indonesia ini nanti akan berada pada ketinggian 300 km dan kecepatan 7,8 km per detik. Bila ini terlaksana Indonesia akan menjadi negara yang bisa menerbangkan satelit sendiri dengan produk buatan sendiri. Indonesia dengan demikian akan masuk member 'Asian Satellite Club' bersama Cina, Korea Utara, India dan Iran.

Nah kekhawatiran Australia, Singapura dan Malaysia ini masuk akal, bukan? Kalau saja Indonesia mampu mendorong satelit sampai 3.600 km untuk keperluan damai atau keperluan macam-macam tergantung kesepakatan rakyat Indonesia. Maka otomatis pekerjaan ecek-ecek bagi Indonesia untuk mampu meluncurkan roket sejauh 190 km untuk keperluan militer bakal sangat mengancam mereka sekarang ini pun juga!!! Kalau tempat peluncurannya ditempatkan di Batam atau Bintan, maka Singapura dan Malaysia Barat sudah gemetaran bakal kena roket Indonesia. Dan kalau ditempatkan di sepanjang perbatasan Kalimantan Indonesia dengan Malaysia Timur, maka si OKB Malaysia tak akan pernah berpikir ngerampok Ambalat. Kalau ada kekurangan yang terjadi dengan industri karya bangsa sendiri, harus dinilai lebih fair dan segera diperbaiki bersama-sama. Misalnya para ahli pemasaran atau sarjana-sarjana ekonomi harus diikutsertakan dalam team work. Sehingga insinyur-insinyur itu tidak hanya pinter produksi sebuah pesawat tetapi setidaknya tahu bagaimana menjual sebuah pesawat itu berbeda dengan menjual sebuah Honda Jazz. Wychek reports that he spoke to his son on Friday morning.

"He sounded upbeat and positive but they had him sedated. But he's doing good. He sounded like my son"

"We're all keeping our fingers crossed and saying our prayers. He just needs to be quiet now and get rested."

Michaels who remains hospitalized at an undisclosed location,is being attended to by his road manager Big John and his two daughters. His doctors have stated that they think the brain hemorrhage as well as the emergency appendectomy resulted because of complications due to his diabetic condition.

Any reality show that stars Bret Michaels is an exercise in ridiculousness and hilarity.

But the rocker's health is now a serious matter: After complaining of a headache last night, the singer was rushed to a hospital and diagnosed with a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem).

Michael is in critical condition.

"After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation," a source told People.

Michaels went through an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio on April 12. There's little medical reason why this development would be related to that procedure.

At this point Bret remains in ICU in critical condition. He is under 24 hour doctors care and supervision. We are hopeful that further tests will locate the source of the bleeding, which has still not been located. As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc. will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal.”

The Poison frontman was rushed to the hospital late Thursday after a massive brain hemorrhage.

According to Elias, who is by Michaels’ hospital bedside, “There are several incorrect reports on Bret’s condition. Bret remains in critical condition at an undisclosed location. Further tests are being ran and information will be updated in the coming days.”

Earlier accounts had Michaels stable, awake, and talking.

Season 2 winner of “Rock of Love,” Ambre Lake, said she had spoken with people “who are close to Bret who say he’s stablized and conscious,” claimed TMZ, which cited a second source who relayed a similarly encouraging update.

And RadarOnline reported that Michaels’ dad, Wally Sychak, told the site his son was talking and feeling fine.

“I talked to him this morning,” Sychak was quoted as saying, adding, “He sounded upbeat and positive but they had him sedated… but he’s doing good. He sounded like my son.”

The reality, however, as Michaels’ manager noted, is that the singer is still in “critical condition.”

Bret Michaels has been rushed to the hospital following a massive brain hemorrhage, according to reports.

The Poison rocker and reality TV star is said to have suffered a terrible headache late Thursday night. He is in “critical condition,” according to People.com, with what doctors term a “massive subarachnoid hemorrhage.”

Currently a contestant on “Celebrity Apprentice,” Michaels is reportedly being kept in the intensive care unit.

Michaels, who is diabetic, had an emergency appendectomy in San Antonio on April 12. It is not known at this time whether the most recent emergency stems from either the surgery earlier this month or his diabetes.

Bob Baffert now finds himself with the Kentucky Derby favorite

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Bob Baffert has suddenly gone from having a solid contender to having the solid favorite for the Kentucky Derby.

Last year's 2-year-old champion, Lookin At Lucky, assumed the role after Eskendereya was forced out of the field by a leg injury.

"There's no telling how good that horse was. Todd Pletcher has never brought a horse to the Derby like that," Baffert said on a cloudy and cold Monday at Churchill Downs. "The Derby dream just gets totally lost like that. It's horrible."

Baffert knows the feeling, though.

In 1998, Event of the Year was to be the Derby favorite, but broke a leg the week before the race. Baffert's horse, Indian Charlie, went off as the favorite. His other entry, Real Quiet, won, giving the trainer his second straight Derby victory.

Mike Pegram owned Real Quiet, who went on to win the Preakness, putting him and longtime friend Baffert on the brink of the Triple Crown. But the colt was beaten by a nose in the Belmont.

Now, Baffert and Pegram, who co-owns Lookin At Lucky, have a shot at making the head-spinning trip to the winner's circle together again.

"You appreciate it more as you get older. You understand what the Derby really means," Pegram said. "You know how fortunate and lucky you are to make the race and to have a chance to win it."

Churchill Downs oddsmaker Mike Battaglia calls Lookin At Lucky the "solid favorite" for Saturday's 1¼-mile race.

"I'm thinking he'll be right around 3-1 — not as solid as Eskendereya would have been, but still pretty solid," said Battaglia, who will set the morning line at Wednesday's draw. "Then I'll probably have Sidney's Candy at right around 6-1 or 8-1, and then Awesome Act at right around the same odds."

Baffert believes Lookin At Lucky and Sidney's Candy should reverse their positions since the John Sadler-trained colt beat him by six lengths in the Santa Anita Derby.

"He should have the favorite, it would be good for John," Baffert said, laughing.

The expected full field of 20 Derby horses shifted again Monday, with Pletcher eliminating Rule and adding filly Devil May Care. Despite the loss of Eskendereya, the trainer could have up to five starters as he tries to end an 0 for 24 skid in the Derby.

Still, he said losing Eskendereya, winner of his last two starts by a combined 18¼ lengths, was hard.

"No matter what happens on Saturday, there's always going to be that what-if," Pletcher said. "There's no way around it."

Rule's defection moved Jackson Bend moved onto the list of potential starters for trainer Nick Zito. The colt finished second to Eskendereya in the Fountain of Youth and Florida Derby, won by Ice Box, another starter for Zito.

Lookin At Lucky has improved daily since arriving at Churchill Downs last week. The colt with six wins in eight career starts completed his final major workout Monday, going five furlongs over an off-track in 1:00.80, the fastest of 26 workouts at the distance.

"If Garrett (Gomez) can just get him in the right spot, and give him a chance to win, that's all he needs," Baffert said. "If he turns for home and he's right there, he'll give it his all. He's a fierce competitor."

So is Baffert, although it's been eight years since he won his third Derby with War Emblem.

"It's on my resume," he said, "but I just have forgotten the feeling."

But this is no ordinary dinner invitation; it is dinner for three with the University of Kentucky (UK) basketball coach John Calipari, his wife Ellen and Hollywood actress Ashley Judd, a graduate of the university. And the price of the dinner is a donation to the Calipari-inspired, "Hoops for Haiti" campaign which has collected over $1 million for the earthquake stricken nation since Sunday, January 17, according to the Lexington Herald-Leader. Despite former Vice President Dick Cheney’s endorsement of Rand Paul’s opponent, Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson, Paul could raise over $200,000 in a matter of hours during Tuesday’s 24-hour Web fundraiser for his U.S. Senate campaign, according to Fox News.
Using the same trick as his father’s 2008 Presidential campaign, Paul has raised over $2 million since they entered the race for the Republican nomination and gaining a chair in the United States Senate, reports WKRG News 5.
The Kentucky Secretary of State also announced on his campaign web-site that they has raised approximately $2 million for his Senate campaign, while Cheney posted a statement regarding his endorsement of Grayson.
“I'm a lifelong conservative, and I can tell the real thing when I see it. I have looked at the records of both candidates in the race, and it is clear to me that Trey Grayson is right on the issues that matter – both on fiscal responsibility and on national security,” said Cheney, reports Politico.
Nevertheless, Paul is still holding a commanding lead over Grayson. According to Real Clear Politics, Paul has a lead of between 12 and 19 points over Grayson. In the Kentucky Senate election, Paul would defeat both Democratic nominees; Jim Conway and Daniel Mongiardo.

Fundraising spares Hollywood sign from sprawl

LOS ANGELES -- The Hollywood sign, a beacon to stars and star-struck alike, has been saved from urban sprawl under a land conservation pact announced Monday after a donation by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner capped a multimillion-dollar fundraising drive.

"It's a symbol of dreams and a symbol of opportunity and hope," actor-turned Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger told a press conference below the towering letters. "The Hollywood sign will welcome dreamers, artists and Austrian bodybuilders for generations to come."

The huge sign overlooking the city was in danger of having its distinctive setting on the flanks of the Santa Monica Mountains crowded by construction of estate homes on nearby Cahuenga Peak.

But a $900,000 donation from Heffner, who helped save the sign itself 32 years ago, and a $500,000 matching grant completed a $12.5 million fundraising drive to protect 138 acres from development that would have altered the globally recognized symbol of the world's film and television capital.

"My childhood dreams and fantasies came from the movies, and the images created in Hollywood had a major influence on my life and Playboy," Hefner said.

Schwarzenegger praised the public and private partnership that raised the money to keep the property out of the hands of developers.

The Trust for Public Land conservation group raised $6.7 million in private funds, the state offered $3.1 million, and local funds totaled $2.7 million.

Schwarzenegger said private donations came from all 50 states, 10 foreign countries, The Tiffany & Co. and a number of individuals, including J. Paul Getty heir Aileen Getty, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.

Cahuenga Peak, just west of the sign's location on Mount Lee, features a 360-degree panorama of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.

Moviemaker and aviation mogul Howard Hughes bought the property in 1940 to build a home for then-girlfriend Ginger Rogers. But that never came about, and the Hughes estate sold the property in 2002 for $1.7 million to the Chicago-based investment group Fox River Financial Resources Inc.

It was put on the market again two years ago for $22 million, but The Trust for Public Land negotiated a lower price.

Ironically, the sign was originally erected in 1923 to promote a real estate development, with its 30-foot-by-50-foot letters spelling "Hollywoodland."

But as Hollywood was entering its golden age, the sign already symbolized the allure of stardom. In the 1930s a young, struggling actress climbed the sign and leaped to her death.

By the late 1940s the sign was falling apart and the "land" portion was removed, giving it the appearance known today. It continued to decay even after the city made it a cultural monument in 1973.

Hefner came to the rescue in 1978 by organizing a fundraiser that enabled a complete rebuilding of the sign, which had to vanish from the skyline for several months.

Wildlife Conservation Board executive director John Donnelly said the permanent protection of Cahuenga Peak is a significant addition to the city's 4,210-acre Griffith Park and will enhance wildlife corridors throughout the region.

"Today, we have the Hollywood ending we hoped for," said William B. Rogers, president of The Trust for Public Land.

HOLLYWOOD sign may be torn down - The world-famous Hollywood sign that that has stood on Cahuenga Peak since 1923 could soon disappear and become nothing but a memory.

Los Angeles, United States – The landmark giant Hollywood sign has been one of the world’s biggest tourist draws. Los Angeles owns the letters of the sign, but the land they are on is owned by a group of Chicago-based investors who are looking into selling it out to developers now.

A conservation group called Trust For Public Lands has been trying to raise enough money to save the sign by buying the land for $12.5 million. They would then give the land to the city so it could become part of the adjacent 4,200-acre, city-owned Griffith Park.

The campaigners covered the Hollywood letters last month with banners that read “Save the Peak”.
Two big names among the rich and famous who are backing the campaign to save the sign are actor Tom Hanks and film director Steven Spielberg. $9.6 million was raised by the campaign as of yesterday, but they only had until 9 AM this morning (PST) to get together the last $3 million. The trust launched a last-ditch effort to raise enough money in time.

Tim Ahern, from the trust, said: “We’re confident we’ll protect the sign.We’ve had a lot of support from people all over the world.”

He added: “Things are moving along well and there will be an announcement tomorrow at 9am, Californian time.”

According to AP, the Trust for Public Land announced just shortly ago that it has received a 16-day extension to finish raising the $12.5 million it needs to buy and preserve the property from private developers. The trust said it’s now $1.5 million away from its goal.

Aileen Getty, the billionaire daughter of oil baron J. Paul Getty, and The Tiffany & Co. Foundation said today they will join to make a $500,000 matching grant to challenge the California community to come up with the last $1 million needed. Ms. Getty and the Tiffany Foundation previously donated $1 million each to the campaign.

The first round of draft is over, which means it's time for some 2010 NFL Draft grades. As always, there were plenty of trades and plenty of surprises. Two quarterbacks came off the board, but they weren't the two most were expecting. The Patriots and Eagles stuck to the script of trading around in the first round, with the Broncos joining them in the fray. While the final grades for this draft won't be handed out for years, we're ready give you an initial look at how all 32 teams did on Thursday.

Arizona -- A- : Speculation had Dan Williams as high as the top 10, but when all was said and done the Cardinals nabbed him at No. 26.

Atlanta -- B : Sean Weatherspoon should grow into being the leader of the Falcon defense, but the Falcons could have traded down and still gotten him.

Baltimore -- B+ : The Ravens didn't make a pick, but they did pick up the 43rd, 70th, and 114th pick for their No. 25 selection, incredible value for one of the best drafting teams in the league.

Buffalo -- D+ : C.J. Spiller is a talented back, but the Bills should have without question added a lineman in the top 10, and Fred Jackson is more than capable as a No. 1 back.

Carolina -- N/A : The Panthers stayed out of the first round, and the team is slated to pick 16th on Friday.

Chicago -- N/A : The Bears stayed out of the first round, and aren't scheduled to pick until midway through the third round.

Cincinnati -- B : Cincy absolutely needed to give Carson Palmer a playmaking tight end, and Gresham is the best TE prospect in the draft.

Cleveland -- C+ : Rumor had the Browns favoring Kyle Wilson, but they drafted Joe Haden instead, about six-to-10 spots higher than expected.

Dallas -- B+ : The Cowboys moved up a couple spots to nab Dez Bryant, a receiver with top-five overall ability who doubles as the quintessential boom-or-bust pick.

Denver -- A- : Denver moved all over the board and wound up with two talented players in Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow, while retaining three Day 2 picks.

Detroit -- A+ : Ndamukong Suh is generally regarded as the top talent in this draft and a player the Lions couldn't pass on, while Javhid Best will give the running game an immediate spark.

Green Bay -- B : Green Bay gets high marks for getting Bryan Bulaga -- someone that was thought to be a lock for the top 10 -- at No. 23, but there was a reason his stock really fell in the days leading up to the draft.

Houston -- B- : The Texans addressed a big position of need with one of the draft's big risers over the last few weeks in Kareem Jackson, but did they choose the right cornerback?

Indianapolis -- B+ : The Colts improved depth behind their bookend defensive ends with Jerry Hughes, and he fits the type of draft pick that has been successful in Indy for so long.

Jacksonville -- F : There were whispers that Tyson Alualu would sneak into the first round, but no one could have forecasted the Jaguars making him a top-10 pick.

Kansas City -- A : The Chiefs eschewed an offensive lineman to take a guy in Eric Berry that may be the second-best talent in the draft and a near lock to be a productive NFL player.

Miami -- A- : The Dolphins entered the draft without a second-rounder, but picked up the 40th overall pick and a fourth-rounder by trading down and taking Jared Odrick, an excellent five-technique defensive lineman.

Minnesota -- B+ : The Vikings picked up the 100th and 214th overall picks to move down four slots, and at the time of the move there wasn't a great fit on the board for the team.

New England -- B- : The Patriots did some moving around and settled in at No. 27 to take cornerback Devin McCourty, who should help them on special teams immediately.

New Orleans -- C+ : Defensive back Patrick Robinson was the last pick of the first round and allows New Orleans to move Malcom Jenkins to safety.

New York Giants -- C- : Depending on who you ask, Jason Pierre-Paul will be a stud or a dud, and it was curious to see the Giants pass on the safer Derrick Morgan.

New York Jets -- A- : With pre-draft buzz suggesting Kyle Wilson could be the first cornerback off the board and a top-10 selection, the Jets hit a home run getting him at No. 29.

Oakland -- A : Seriously, the Raiders get outstanding marks just for taking an honest-to-goodness great football player (linebacker Rolando McClain) over a workout warrior for the first time in years.

Philadelphia -- C- : The Eagles moved up in the draft but passed on some of their bigger needs to take the first defensive end of the draft, Brandon Graham, a guy that was thought by most to be the third-best at his position.

Pittsburgh -- A- : Interior linemen usually aren't selected in the top 20, and that should give you an idea of Maurkice Pouncey's talent.

San Diego -- B : The Chargers paid a big price to move up and get their guy in Ryan Mathews, and he fills an immediate need and should be a fantasy football force immediately.

San Francisco -- A : San Francisco moved up to get Anthony Davis and landed another lineman in Mike Iupati with its other pick, solidifying its offensive line in the span of an hour.

Seattle -- A+ : Standing pat with their two picks, the Seahawks added arguably the best tackle and second best defensive back in this draft in Russell Okung and Earl Thomas, respectively.

St. Louis -- A- : The Rams drafted a franchise quarterback by taking Sam Bradford with the first overall pick, but they still have plenty of work to do.

Tampa Bay -- A- : Gerald McCoy is the perfect fit for Tampa Bay's defense, and he has a shot to equal the career of Warren Sapp, a key player in Tampa Bay's last championship season.

Tennessee -- B : The Titans missed out on their guy in Jason Pierre-Paul but may have landed the best end in the draft by getting Derrick Morgan; sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Washington -- B+ : The Redskins made the necessary move and gave new quarterback Donovan McNabb protection in the form of Trent Williams, who is a great fit for Mike Shanahan's system.

Suzanne Nadine Vega (born July 11, 1959) is an American songwriter and singer known for her eclectic folk-inspired music.

Two of Vega's songs (both from her second album Solitude Standing, 1987) reached the top 10 of various international chart listings: "Luka" and "Tom's Diner". The latter was originally an a cappella version on Vega's album, which was then remade in 1990 as a dance track produced by the British dance production team DNA.

Suzanne's mother, Pat Vega, is a computer systems analyst of German-Swedish heritage. Her father, Richard Peck, is of Scottish-English-Irish extraction. Her stepfather, Ed Vega, also known as Edgardo Vega Yunque, was a writer and teacher from Puerto Rico.^[1]

When Suzanne was two and a half, the family moved to New York City. She grew up in Spanish Harlem and the Upper West Side.^[2] At the age of nine she began to write poetry; she wrote her first song at age fourteen. Later she attended New York's prestigious High School of Performing Arts (now called LaGuardia High School). There she studied modern dance and graduated in 1977.

While majoring in English literature at Barnard College^[3], she performed in small venues in Greenwich Village, where she was a regular contributor to Jack Hardy's Monday night songwriters' group at the Cornelia Street Cafe and had some of her first songs published on Fast Folk anthology albums.^[4] In 1984, she received a major label recording contract, making her one of the first Fast Folk artists to break out on a major label.

Vega's self-titled debut album was released in 1985 and was well-received by critics in the U.S.;^[2] it reached platinum status in the United Kingdom. Produced by Lenny Kaye and Steve Addabbo, the songs feature Vega's acoustic guitar in straightforward arrangements. A video was released for the album's song "Marlene on the Wall", which went into MTV and VH1's rotations. During this period Vega also wrote lyrics for two songs on Songs from Liquid Days by composer Philip Glass.

Her next effort, Solitude Standing (1987), garnered critical and commercial success including two hit singles: "Tom's Diner" and "Luka", the latter of which was an international success. "Luka" is written about, and from the point of view of, an abused child—at the time an uncommon subject for a pop hit. While continuing a focus on Vega's acoustic guitar, the music is more strongly pop-oriented and features fuller arrangements. The a cappella "Tom's Diner" was later a hit again, remixed by two British dance producers under the name DNA, in 1990. The track was originally a bootleg, until Vega allowed DNA to release through her record company, and it became her all-time biggest hit.

Eskendereya Is the Horse to Beat

Todd Pletcher has 20 horses on the nomination list for the Kentucky Derby, the most of any trainer. But it's his 3-year-old chestnut colt Eskendereya, out of Zayat Stables, who shows the most promise. And that colt was the reason why he was at Aqueduct in Queens, N.Y. on Saturday, April 3.

Six horses were in the $750,000 Wood Memorial field, the 9th race of the afternoon, but Eskendereya (pronounced "S-ken-dRAY-uh") was the horse the majority of the crowd of 8,553 and the throng of media came to see. The Wood was the last major prep race before the qualifying horses headed to Churchill Downs for the May 1 date in the Kentucky Derby. Eskendereya left no doubt that he was, in fact, the favorite for the Derby, and potentially the Triple Crown.

Pletcher had a horse in the 8th race, the $200,000 Excelsior Stake. He spent the minutes leading up to post time in the shadows of the No. 3 paddock stall, among the horse grooms and excrement. He was wearing a pressed grey pinstripe suit with a bluish-grey tie that complimented his blue eyes. His gray-white hair was manicured, his face clean-shaven and his hands were clasped behind his back. His gaze was focused on his horse, Nite Light; his appearance was all business.

Pletcher watched the race from Box B18, with his wife and three kids around him. He stood throughout the race, occasionally peering through his large set of binoculars for a closer look at his horse and jockey, John Velazquez. The horse came in second, and there was 23 minutes to post for the Wood.

As the six horses for the Wood made their way from the backstretch to the paddock, anyone and everyone associated with one of the horses poured into the area as well. The men wore suits and the women wore colorful dresses. Most of the women also wore goosebumps and had the shivers, since the forecasted warm weather was replaced with a brisk ocean breeze.

The railing overlooking the paddock was lined three-deep with spectators trying to get a glimpse of the contending horses, like they were leaning in to see Alex Rodriguez in the on-deck circle. One group even had an "ESKENDEREYA" sign, the letters colored turquoise and yellow - the color scheme of the Zayat Stables silks. Pletcher again watched from his position in the No. 3 stall, among the grooms and the excrement, with his hands clasped behind his back.

He did emerge in time to greet Velazquez, as the horses circled the paddock. He helped boost the jockey onto the back of the colt, raising him by the left boot. The trumpet tune played, calling the horses to post, and the six contenders emerged onto the track.

Minutes later, when the gates sprang open to start the race, Eskendereya broke with the pack, settling into third around the clubhouse turn. At this point, Pletcher was nowhere to be found. He wasn't trackside or in the box with his family. Instead, he was in a tiny office beside the scales in the paddock area watching the Wood Memorial on a 17-inch television. He sat in a chair with his elbows on his knees, the race program rolled up and held tight in his hands, and his eyes on the TV set. He looked like a kid in a trance watching Saturday morning cartoons.

If there was any speculation whether Eskendereya would live up the hype that has surrounded his Derby chase, it was squashed by the time he completed the final turn. After sitting comfortably in third throughout the backstretch, he made his move in the final turn. From the outside position, the powerful colt made spectators out of Most Happy Fella and Jackson Bend, as he moved to the lead by the top of the homestretch. He went from head-to-head with two horses to his tremendous 9 3/4-length cushion in the final 1/8 mile. Velazquez never had to use his whip: "I was just a passenger in that one," he would say later.

It wasn't until he saw Eskendereya pass the wire victoriously, that Pletcher rose from his seat and emerged from the small room. He adjusted his tie, then his coat and ascended the stairs to the track. He was greeted with handshakes and pats on the back. Pletcher didn't crack his first smile until his feet were buried in the track dirt, while shaking another hand.

In post-race interviews, Pletcher admitted that the performance of the colt surpassed even his own expectations, and that he'd be anxious to see the outcome of a similar Stake race going on across the country at Santa Anita, the Santa Anita Derby. Lookin At Lucky, the other serious contender for the Kentucky Derby, was set to run. Pletcher would save those concerns for a later time.

Nearly a half hour after Eskendereya's win, the Santa Anita Derby ran. Lookin At Lucky would be pinched in the race and wind up third.

Let the Kentucky Derby countdown begin. My money is on Eskendereya.

Eskendereya easily wins Wood, Derby favorite?

NEW YORK - And your likely Kentucky Derby favorite is ... Eskendereya, the overpowering winner of the $750,000 Wood Memorial.

Drawing away from a strong field in the stretch, Eskendereya pulled off a second straight blowout in a major Derby prep Saturday to state his case as the horse to beat on the first Saturday in May.

And that would be fine with Todd Pletcher, the trainer who has won just about every race you can think of but is 0 for 24 in the Derby.

“It would be big to win the Derby,” Pletcher said. “We’ll try to make it happen. We’ll do the best we can.”

Eskendereya looks like Pletcher’s best shot to end his Derby drought, but the trainer could have as many as seven other 3-year-olds by the time an expected full field of 20 horses enter the starting gate at Churchill Downs.

Eskendereya, though, is the clear standout. And after fellow Derby top contender Lookin At Lucky finished third in the Santa Anita Derby about 30 minutes later, there’s little argument as to who’s the No. 1 choice for the Derby.

Pletcher couldn’t hide a huge smile as he stood on the track and congratulated his assistant, Jonathan Thomas, before accepting handshakes from a large group in the winner’s circle.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “The further he goes, the stronger he gets. He’s a horse that has natural stamina.”

Ridden by John Velazquez, 1-2 favorite Eskendereya stormed into the lead and won by 9¾ lengths over Jackson Bend. The margin of victory in the 1 1-8-mile Wood topped Eskendereya’s 8½-length win in the Fountain of Youth Stakes on Feb. 20 in his last start.

The Derby on May 1 is 1¼ miles and appears to be a perfect fit for Eskendereya, a chestnut son of Giant’s Causeway.

Owned by Ahmed Zayat, Eskendereya picked up $450,000 and boosted his graded stakes earnings to $600,000, more than enough to qualify for the Derby that has a 20-horse limit.

Zayat, who has filed for bankruptcy after a bank said he defaulted on $34 million in loans, was not at the race.

Jackson Bend, trained by two-time Derby winner Nick Zito, earned $150,000 for second to move to $230,000, likely enough to make the Derby field. That would give Zito two Derby starters — Florida Derby winner Ice Box is the other.

Eskendereya raced comfortably in third behind Most Happy Fella and Jackson Bend. By the time the field hit the final turn, Eskendereya was taking control as Velazquez eased the colt to the outside. From there, he was home free.

“He was just galloping,” Velazquez said. “It was a good feeling.”

Awesome Act was third, followed by Schoolyard Dreams, Carnivore and Most Happy Fella.

The winning time was 1:49.97. Eskendereya returned $3, $2.30 and $2.10. Jackson Bend returned $3.90 and $2.60, and Awesome Act paid $2.20.

Jackson Bend has finished second three times in a row in Derby preps — the Holy Bull, the Fountain of Youth and now the Wood, with two of the losses coming against Eskendereya.

“These guys have to run against Muhammad Ali,” Zito said referring to Eskendereya. “That’s Smokin’ Joe Frazier (Jackson Bend). He won’t give up.”

Calvin Borel, who was aboard Zito’s colt for the first time, agreed.

“The one thing about this colt is that he’s gutsy,” Borel said. “He’s the kind of horse you want in the Derby.”

If Borel remains with Jackson Bend, the jockey would be looking for a second straight Derby win following last year’s stunner with 50-1 long shot Mine That Bird.

Awesome Act had a tough trip, stumbling at the start and losing a shoe. But the Gotham Stakes winner based in England finished strong under Julien Leparoux to gain third and earn $75,000 and give him $285,000 in graded stakes earnings.

“It was a great performance by the winner, but for my horse the pace was wrong,” Awesome Act’s trainer Jeremy Noseda said. “We’ll move on to Kentucky and go from there.”

Eskendereya was purchased by Zayat Stables for $250,000 at the Keeneland September sale in 2008. The name is the Arab translation for the Egyptian port city of Alexandria. Eskendereya also is defined as a flirty Alexandrian dance with a heavy veil, according to a bellydance glossary of Middle Eastern dance teminologies.

The Flora London Marathon covers a 26.2 mile route, that starts on Blackheath and passes the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, Tower of London, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and finishes in The Mall (the road between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square). There are around 48,000 entrants with as many as half a million spectators cheering them along the route. It is the biggest single day charity event of the year raising an estimated £35m (US$68 approx.) for a wide range of charities.

Virgin Marathon 2010 London Route

The London Marathon is a road marathon that has been held each year in London since 1981, usually in April. The race is currently sponsored by Virgin Money, as the Virgin London Marathon. Previously the event was sponsored by Flora (from 1996 to 2009) . The 2010 London Marathon is currently taking place today, Sunday 25 April.

In addition to being one of the top five international marathons run over the traditional distance of 42.195 km (26 miles and 385 yards), the London Marathon is also a large, celebratory sporting festival, second only to the Great North Run in Newcastle, in terms of the number of participants. It is one of the World Marathon Majors, a two-year series of elite marathon racing that also includes the Boston, Chicago, New York and Berlin marathons.

An unusual feature is the very large amounts of money raised for charity, much more than other marathons. According to the race organisers, it is now the largest annual fund raising event in the world with the 2006 participants raising over £41.5 million for charity, bringing the total amount raised for charity by runners, to a grand total of £315 million. In 2007, 78% of all runners raised money. In 2010 the official charity of the London Marathon is CLIC Sargent.

The company behind the London Marathon has been the subject of an investigation by the Channel 4 Dispatches programme for not publishing a full breakdown of its accounts and in relation the amount of money charged to some charities in order to take part.

Barack Obama Rips Arizona Immigration Bill

I remarked at a panel discussion last night that I couldn’t believe Arizona would walk into the same trap we saw here in California with Prop 187, when a draconian immigration measure basically completely severed tied between the Republican Party and the Hispanic community and turned a purple state deep blue. Now, the President is speaking out against the Arizona law, and making clear that he would use federal resources to step in if need be.

This is pretty big: Obama just now sharply condemned the controversial anti-illegal immigration effort in Arizona, calling it “misguided” and “irresponsible” — and even said his administration could insert itself into the fight if civil rights are found to be violated [...]

“Our failure to act responsibly at the Federal level will only open the door to irresponsibility by others,” Obama said. “That includes for example the recent efforts in Arizona, which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans, as well as the trust between police and their communities that is so crucial to keeping us safe.”

Obama added that his administration could join the fight. “I’ve instructed members of my admininstration to closely monitor the situation and examine the civil rights and other implications of this legislation,” he said, adding that it was “misguided.”

If in fact, the Congress starts to move the immigration reform bill faster than expected, I would imagine that the Arizona bill, which could be signed by Gov. Jan Brewer as early as today, would take up the space that the Anthem Blue Cross rate hikes did in the health care debate, or the SEC civil suit against Goldman Sachs is taking up in the Wall Street reform debate. They are a perfect foil to the goals of the policy – to take the undocumented populations out of the shadows, to institute a humane policy instead of a police state, to provide for enforcement of employers as well as a path to citizenship for those who want to provide a better life for them and their families and contribute to society.

I think it’s wonderful that the President is forcing a national conversation about the propriety of civil liberties-depriving laws like we’re seeing in Arizona. It’s good policy and good politics. I’ll take his side of the debate over the “You can spot an undocumented immigrant by their shoes” side any time.

Arizona’s Immigration Law News Illegal

Yesterday, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed into law a controversial immigration bill, the text of which you can find here (PDF). Now, before getting into the bill itself, et me just say I’m not an open-borders guy. The sheer mass of illegal immigration is a problem in the southern border states. If you’re interested, I went into more detail a few years ago on the subject.

The law itself provides for the following:

Makes it a misdemeanor for an illegal alien to solicit work in any way shape or form, so no more hanging out around Home Depot.
Makes it a code violation to knowingly employ illegal aliens, and may subject the business to suspension or terminations of any and all licenses, i.e. business license, liquor license, etc.
No jurisdiction in the state can refuse to enforce immigration laws.
Illegal aliens are considered to be trespassing if found on any public or private property in the state of Arizona. I.e., physically present anywhere in the state. It’s a class I misdemeanor. If the illegal alien has drugs or money in his possession, that bumps the charge to a Class 3 felony.
A person may be arrested on the spot for this extended offense of trespassing if the officer has probable cause to believe the person is an illegal alien.
A peace officer may stop any person operating a motor vehicle if the officer reasonably believes the vehicle is being used to transport or smuggle illegal aliens.
A vehicle used to knowingly transport illegal aliens is subject to mandatory immobilization or impoundment.

I saw a statement by an Arizona police spokesman at Tucson PD that said, essentially, that this new law would never, ever be used by peace officers in racial profiling. And you can believe as much of that as you please. If you think the cops in AZ will be rounding up blue-eyed, blond-haired fellows who say “aboot” instead of “about”, I’ve got a bridge to sell you. It connects Manhattan with Brooklyn. It’s in great shape. Worth every penny.

Essentially, if you’re a swarthy, dark-haired gentleman, the cops can stop you and ask for your papers. You should probably obtain a copy of your birth certificate, Social Security card, and Sons of the American Revolution membership certificate, and keep them with you at all times. And lose the attractive Ricardo Montalban accent, because that’s certainly not going to be an asset when speaking to the nice officer.

And if you do pick up a few day workers at Lowe’s, don’t be surprised when the cops stop you, then laugh at your insistence that you just wanted some weeding done or nice raised garden installed, and insist on calling you “Mr. Coyote” as they impound your vehicle and drag your ass off to jail.

I really don’t see how this law can pass Constitutional muster. It practically requires racial profiling. It will almost inevitably lead to civil rights violations of both lawful immigrants and American citizens, as police officers demand proof of citizenship, and subsequently arrest some poor sap who left his wallet at home. It’s just a disastrously bad law.

Now look, I understand that illegal immigration is a tough problem. I believe that we do need to better secure the borders. I know the Feds do little more than lip service at enforcing immigration laws. So, I understand why state government are frustrated, and grasping at something else they can do to ease the budgetary, law enforcement, and social service strains that illegal immigration puts on state and municipal budgets.

But this sort of state effort is so intrusive and far-reaching, and so ripe for abuse, that it can’t possibly be the right answer to the problem. I see no way that it can be enforced in a manner consistent with basic civil rights. It’s just a bad law.

Spurring Backlash Arizona Immigration Law

Both Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid released statements on the new immigration law signed yesterday by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, and both of them use it as a tool to spur action on comprehensive reform in Congress. Reid said that the law “provides another important example of why we need to fix our broken system.” Pelosi concurred, adding that “Our nation has been sustained and strengthened by immigrants from generation to generation and that is why today’s action in Arizona is misguided and irresponsible. Families have come to the United States hoping for a better life and striving for a brighter future. We must do everything in our power to build on that tradition by passing comprehensive immigration reform and ensuring our nation’s cherished civil rights.” Reid told the coalition working on an immigration bill that they have three weeks to reach a deal or he’ll bring his own bill to the floor. He clearly wants to strike while the ink is fresh on SB1070.

But not everyone is so concerned with turning the Arizona law to political advantage, however much that advantage would actually aid those being persecuted. Some are taking the fight directly to Arizona. Students have been massing outside the Arizona Statehouse for five days in protest of the measure. Presente.org is trying to organize 1 million people in opposition. And Raul Grijalva, who has faced death threats for saying that Americans should boycott Arizona after passage of this law, called on the President to “limit [federal] cooperation with Arizona officials in their enforcement of SB 1070.”

“SB 1070 would exacerbate the problem of racial profiling . . . and would continue to compromise the civil rights of citizens, legal residents, tourists and foreign visitors,” the letter says.

The letter also asks Obama to cut off any further potential Memorandums of Understanding between the Department of Homeland Security and state law enforcement officials regarding immigration enforcement. Such agreements, the letter says, “have been subject to serious concerns as local law enforcement agencies have used the new powers to target communities of color, including a disproportionate number of Latinos for arrest.”

“This law will put every policeman in the state on notice that their main duty from now on is to question Hispanics about their citizenship,” Grijalva said. “This is a discriminatory policy that cannot be enforced without committing grave breaches of due process and equal protection. The law will not withstand legal scrutiny, and I call on the president immediately to reject it in the strongest possible terms.”

The legal question is a legitimate one. Even Mike Huckabee said that the law will open up Arizona to a “plethora” of civil rights lawsuits. With racial profiling illegal, practically the only way to administer SB1070 would be to harass white people for their papers as well, a “careful what you wish for” moment if there ever was one.

I mentioned the other day the backlash against then-Arizona Governor Evan Mecham for canceling the Martin Luther King holiday for stae employees. I remember Public Enemy’s “By the Time I Get To Arizona” and all the boycotts. Eventually Mecham gave up, created a non-paid holiday, and within a year was impeached and under felony indictment. We’ve been here before in Arizona. And this could end the same way.

Tendulkar boosts Mumbai Dominant

Mumbai Indians 174 for 5 (Tendulkar 89*, Watson 3-37) beat Rajasthan Royals 137 for 8 (Dole 30, Zaheer 2-17) by 37 runs
Sahin Tendulkar shored up Mumbai Indians yet again with his fifth half-century of the IPL which all but guaranteed Mumbai a place in the semi-final and took him to the top of the run-charts in the tournament.

He overcame Rajasthan Royals’ strong start by building two partnerships: the first with JP Duminy to lead Mumbai’s recovery after the loss of three early wickets, and the second with Kieron Pollard to accelerate at the end. That effort was backed up by a clinical performance from Mumbai’s bowlers, which left Rajasthan battling in a mid-table scrap at fourth place, and inflicted on them their first defeat in Jaipur.
While their chase seemed doomed to fail after four wickets in the first seven overs, Rajasthan will look back at two phases where Mumbai could have been restricted. They grabbed three wickets in the Powerplay, but failed to keep up the pressure during a rebuilding endeavour by Tendulkar and Duminy.

And they performed poorly in the field, with Adam Voges missing an easy opportunity to run out Pollard off his first ball, and Aditya Dole dropping a sitter off Tendulkar when on 46. The lapses cost Rajasthan dearly, as the pair helped plunder 68 off the last five overs to lift Mumbai to a score that proved out of Rajasthan’s reach.

Tendulkar faced just 12 deliveries in Mumbai’s Powerplay, but adapted superbly. Shane Watson removed Sanath Jayasuriya in his first over, and followed up by dismissing Ambati Rayudu and Saurabh Tiwary with the bouncer, a weapon used successfully against local batsmen. But Duminy proved a suitable foil for Tendulkar, and the pair worked the field, picked the singles by calling well and accumulated 30 runs in five overs after the Powerplay.

There was hardly anything for the Jaipur crowd to cheer thereafter, but franchise loyalties mattered little in a Shane Warne v Tendulkar contest that fans were deprived of in the previous encounter. Tendulkar prevailed today, with three boundaries in one over against his counterpart.

Warne was the only Rajasthan spinner to rely on flight, and Tendulkar improvised twice by striking him inside-out through extra cover. And when Warne dropped one short, Tendulkar made room to cut him through point.

Rajasthan had a chance once they broke the 63-run stand between Duminy and Tendulkar in the 13th over, but paid the price for mistakes in the field and some indiscipline bowling at the death. The seamers often bowled too short and when varying their pace, pitched the ball on a length which Tendulkar and Pollard were able to feed off with ease. Pollard began the surge with a slapped four off Dole in the 16th over and clipping Watson through fine leg in the next.

He singled out Dole for treatment, smashing him for a six and a four off consecutive deliveries before being bowled to end a 50-run stand. Tendulkar’s acceleration was more calculated.

The only moment of promise in Rajasthan’s chase was when Michael Lumb struck Dhawal Kulkarni for two fours in the second over, before slashing one straight to point. Zaheer Khan was the best of the Mumbai bowlers, nipping the ball away from the batsmen and clocking in excess of 140 kph, and earned his reward when opener Naman Ojha edged to slip.

While Rajasthan were generous in the field, Mumbai didn’t waste their chances and Shane Watson and Faiz Fazal were run out after responding late to calls from their partners. All hopes rested on Yusuf Pathan but there were no miracles this time, and when he was caught in the 14th over with the score on 85, Rajasthan’s fate was sealed.

US Senate RINO Lindsey Graham threatened Team Obama that he would pull his support for their cap-&-tax bill if the democrats proceeded with immigration legislation.
What this has to do with cap-&-tax is anyone’s guess.
Maybe Lindsey is feeling the heat from the nation’s conservatives who oppose the amnesty and gas tax proposed by the far left?
The Hill reported:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Saturday that he will be “unable to move forward” with the upcoming climate and energy bill he’s crafting if Democratic leaders push ahead with plans to move immigration legislation.

Graham’s declaration could halt or unravel the months-long effort to craft a compromise climate measure he has undertaken with Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.). The measure is slated to be unveiled Monday.

“I want to bring to your attention what appears to be a decision by the Obama Administration and Senate Democratic leadership to move immigration instead of energy,” Graham wrote in a letter Saturday.

“Unless their plan substantially changes this weekend, I will be unable to move forward on energy independence legislation at this time. I will not allow our hard work to be rolled out in a manner that has no chance of success,” he added.

Birmingham (AFP) - A hurricane, tornado, with 1.6 miles wide shredding throughout central Mississippi, Saturday, killing at least 10 people, including three children, and wounding dozens more, according to authorities in that country.

At least 13 tornadoes struck the small town, destroying several homes and memperangkap population live in it, damaging the business sector, blocked roads and destroyed thousands of electric poles, said Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

Three people died in Choctaw County, three others in Yazoo County and three in Holmes County, said Greg Flynn, a spokesman for the agency.

Governor Haley Barbour announced the state of emergency after tornadoes in the U.S. in this year's first major.

"We have several people killed, a quantity of people we are still trying to rescue those trapped inside the buildings."

"A tornado has caused extensive damage throughout the City of Yazoo," said Barbour, who grew up in that city, told CBS tv.

"Sheriff's Department Hinds city is sending three dozen officers and 100 residents to help deal with emergencies in Yazoo County and clearing debris," said emergency services agency.

"This is Namunm major hurricanes, tornadoes and disasters tergawat \. it brings a giant amount of damage and perhaps a few more victims in the northern region," said Barbour.

Storm monitoring technique has been moved to Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky, according to Greg Carbin, a spokesman for the National Atmospheric Agency and Oseanologi.

Yazoo City, Mississippi (AP): rescue team combing the devastated neighborhood in Mississippi, transporting injured victims trapped in cars after a tornado destroyed this state & killed at least 10 people, including six of the babies.

Strong winds on Saturday meluluhlantahkan roofs of several buildings in Yazoo County, where Governor Haley Barbour was raised. Powerful storm also swept the northern part of Alabama, Georgia & other states this morning, which resulted in fallen trees & hail.

Meteorologists early to conclude whether this is a tornado that four times appeared with long term or multiple tornadoes that occur together with a faster time. Tornado has caused death & destruction in some remote areas Mississippi.

Six of the forensic team Yazoo County, Ricky shivered, they died after his van was lifted by winds & overturned, but they survived & suffered only cuts & bruises.

Amid efforts to help the authorities over a dozen victims in the disaster affected areas, some residents said that they were unlikely to survive amid the destruction caused by the storm.

"The roof flew home, the TV fell off the shelves & it was wicked," said Mitchell Saxton, owner of the Ribeye's Steak House in Yazoo City.

Tornadoes also reportedly hit several cities in Louisiana, Arkansas & Alabama, & bad weather continue to occur in the northeastern part of Sunday morning, along with strong winds also uprooted trees in the northwestern region of Georgia.

Those who were with him at the restaurant to escape in to the walk-in freezer when the tornado came. Restaurants owned by Saxton flat to the ground but no six was hurt there.

The storm moved eastward, struck several areas around Yazoo County, Mississippi, killing three people. In Holmes County adjacent to the found six person dead. A little farther to the northeast, a tornado also struck the Choctaw County, reported six dead, including babies aged six, nine, & 14 months.

Bad weather started from Louisiana, across the state line from Mississippi as a tornado destroyed 12 houses & warehouses in Complex Chemical Co., which makes automotive antifreeze & other fluids said owner Jerry Melton.

Jim Pollard, spokesman for the ambulance service to American Medical Response, said three patients were flown from Yazoo County & about 20 others taken to hospital. At least three of the victims was in critical condition. (T03/yn)

Mississippi - A tornado cut a U.S. state, Mississippi, Saturday local time. As a result, fierce winds that destroyed dozens of houses in the southern U.S., killing 10 people.

As reported by AFP, Sunday (04/25/2010), Tornado victims included one children, aged one years & the other 14 years. Victims reported to continue growing as cleaning ruins by a rescue team.

Tornado flying the roof & make the house in to rubble. Tornadoes also overturned the vehicle, tearing down trees & turn off the electricity immediately.

Governor of Mississippi, Haley Barbour, the state declared in a state of danger in 17 districts devastated by the storm & wind speed. They also asked the National Guard to assist local officials in making emergency response.

"The effects of this storm caused the destruction of businesses & citizens of Mississippi lost their homes," Barbour said.

Royce Reed, As we get closer and closer to 2010 the one thing that has become clear is that all entertainment/athlete drama will be played out via the internet.

The Dwight Howard vs. Royce Reed Saga is being played out via forums, twitter, Facebook, emails, TMZ and now blogs.

Howard has made his presence felt with a couple of lawsuits against Miss Reed for her supposedly breaking an injunction that permits here from basically speaking about Howard online in any shape form or fashion.

Howard acts like he knows nothing about them even though they are public suits that anyone can research. Someone should instruct Howard that lying didn’t work out that well for Tiger, so it is best to just honest.

I had to chuckle a bit when Miss Reed has decided to reply to this lawsuits, but talking about it on her blog.

Of course she can’t use Howard’s name or say anything specially bad about him, so reading the statement is like trying to decipher the Divinci Code.

The situation though as a whole is not very funny and I urged both Miss Reed and Howard to sit down and work something out, because none of this is good for their child. A child they both made together and who should be the priority.

Now, moving on, I have a 2yr old to raise and no1 is thinking about what hes going to hear when he gets older and what i wont be able to shield him from. Everything I say or do, I think about him and how he will feel about it when he gets older. I get frustrated like every other woman in the world so dont judge me but I know you will. In reference to things being said….lemme say this…as you will soon see, I dont bite my tongue much. If I say something about anyone or anything, I say it as ME, as ROYCE REED! Not anyone else!

I cant help that and now things have gotten so out of hand this has to play out in the Public Eye. I can only say that my son is extremely happy, hes very smart, loves school and doesn’t know what is going on. I can say Ive done my research and read up on the pros and cons of my situation and i’m making the best out of it. I can say that I am truly loved and appreciated by those that matter and a smile is still on my face. I wake up every day to a cheesy dimpled smile that says “Mommy, I love you”. That is all I need and all this other MESS is on the back burner.
